IGIS and International Affairs Office Blessing

Authors: Juris Demi and Flora Monica Mabaylan-Ruiz

In response to CSC’s request, the University co-designed an Institute with GGU and USAID-SURGE, leading to the establishment and operationalization of the Institute of Governance, Innovations, and Sustainability, which “will focus on public sector innovations, empowering and harnessing University expertise and partners†(BOR Resolution No. 28, s. 2020).â€

To solidify the establishment of IGIS, the University devoted and refurbished a dedicated physical office to cater to both MPSI Faculty and Students, particularly for holding final defenses. The IGIS Office, along with the co-office of International Affairs, was blessed by Fr. Ismael Jose Chan-Gonzaga III, SJ, on December 17, 2022. Neighboring offices and colleagues were also present to witness the blessing of the newly designed office.
